From the diary of Eliza Mead-
(March 1853) Mon. 7th " Clear in the morning but clouded up this afternoon and is snowing now at bedtime washed and got the clothes dry and in the house. Abram and Lydia Ann came down here this afternoon and spent most of the evening, but we could not persuade them to stay all night and they have gone home in the snow storm. Isaac and Rhoda are visiting at John Alexanders and Roswell has gone over there since Abrams folks left."
