This is the information I found at the Ohio University Library about our William Robinson and Mary Lowe. Also, I was told that their marriage record is in Fauquier county, Virginia and that they married in 3-13-1790, and John was born in 1794 according to census records and his death record in Athens County, Ohio.

A list of all and every free and able bodied white citizen between the ages of Eighteen and Forty Five years in the County of Cumberland and not formed into any volunteer Companies in said County as taken by the cencus of the different Townships, agreeable to an Act of the legislature of New Jersey passed at Trenton the 30th day of December, A.D. 1792, Entitled an act for Organizing and Training militia of this state, and returned them to Joseph Buck Commisioner for the County of Cumberland: Taken in the first of January Anno Domini 1793.
Editor's note- There are two manuscripts for Cumberland County. Where a significant spelling difference appears, the variation is included in parenthesis.

History of the Robinson Family as given to Mrs. J.P. Robinson by Jesse Charles Robinson, after his search in Fauquier County Virginia, December 25, 1917. Read to him several times and he verified same each time. Found at the Ohio University Archives Ruth Levering Library in the family file under William Robinson-
William Robinson came from England after the war of the Revolution to Loudon and Fauquier County, Virginia. He was married, owned land and was buried in Virginia. He was a Baptist Minister and was married to Mary Lowe, who was Scotch. To this union the following children were born; Aaron, born March 31, 1799, died Oct. 24, 1839, married to Susan Bolin, born Sept. 12, 1804, who died May 19, 1884. Moses; Elijah; Elias; Jesse who married Sarah Bolin; John who married Lydia; Judity and William. William died unmarried.
