Elwood U Bagley of Low Moor, Clinton Co,IA, age 67 was dead on
arrival at Davenport Mercy Hospital today. Arrangements are
pending at the McGinnis Funeral Home, De Witt. Mr. Bagley was
born in Mechanicsville, Feb. 11, 1911 to Emmett and Ruth
Bagley. He married Gladys Dannatt in Low Moor, Feb 25, 1939.
He was a Clinton County Farmer, and was a member of the Low
Moor United Methodist Church, past master of DeWitt Lodge No.
34, A.F. and A.M., a past patron of DeWitt Eastern Star,
Clinton Scottish Rite Consistory, Clinton Lodge Order of Moose,
County Farm Bureau and the County Cattleman's Assn.
Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. John (Fern)
Hulting of Bettendorf; one son, James, of Orrawa, IL; three
grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. William Bass of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by one sister and one Brother. The
funeral will be at 1pm, Fri in the McGinnis Funeral Home,
DeWitt with the Reverend Edward Osburn, pastor of Low Moor
Methodist Church, and J.P. Kelleler of St. Ambrose College,
officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Masonic services will be at 7:30 PM Thurs at McGinnis.
