 Isabella
Dines, my maternal great-grandmother, was born
in Ireland. She was the daughter of James
Dines and Isabella Laurie. Her parents died
when she was young. She came to the US with
her sisters Annie and Margaret in the 1860s.
Her two brothers, William and John remained in
Ireland. In 1869 she married William Gittins
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and they later moved
to Cass County, Iowa. |
