is a picture of Lorenzo Centennial McKee taken circa
1890. He went by the nick-name
"Ren". Ren farmed, was a well driller, a
wagon driver who hauled groceries from Creston to
Macksburg, Iowa on a weekly basis. The large home he
built just west of Macksburg is still in great
condition today. He married Cynthia Wright, who is
buried with him in Moon Cemetery near Macksburg.
Both Ren's and Cynthia's fathers were Union veterans
of the Civil War. |
