Sons of the American Revolution was accepted, thus confirming
involvement in the Revolution on both sides of my family. Above is
the notification and the membership certificate I received from that
organization. Zebulon Hallock was my 4th great-grandfather. |

Hallock was the son of Julia Van Tuyl, Daniel Van Tuyl's sister. |

Pine who was 5 years old was living with them. Also staying with
them was my 2nd great grandmother, Mary Alice Rider Van Tuyl. She
had remarried after her husband Job Rider passed away and her married
name was McPhellany. |

Myron Scott Hallock - b:

My great-grand uncle, Myron Scott Hallock was the son of Daniel
Van Tuyl Hallock and Mary Alice Rider Hallock.
I found this picture on eBay of all places, when a very kind person made
me aware of its existence. This person had seen my web site
and knew that this picture could be someone in my family. It
is of Uncle Scott taken in a military-style uniform circa 1866.
The handwriting on the back of the photo looks very similar to that
found in the Pine Family Bible. |
